I'm Baaaa-aaaack!

I bet you're thrilled!

Wanna know where I went and what I did?

I went to my family's cottage on Lake Ontario in the "North Country", and spent two glorious, 95% rain-free weeks doing whatever the hell I wanted.

Police Report From Pinegrove 6/24

If you remember the blog about the senior center spring cleanup, there was an FOI request submitted for the police report relative to any calls at Pinegrove for that day, for an incident between Mr. Ament and the blue shirt dude. The report validates that Mr. Ament contacted the police, and that they did go to Pinegrove to talk to blue shirt dude, but he denied saying "Wait till I see you without this blue shirt on...".

I blocked out phone numbers, birthdays, e-mail addresses of the person who submitted the FOI request, and the last name of blue shirt dude on the report/requests.

Irondequoit Has One Zip Code?

That is......according to the Focus Group Meetings that involved residents and Consultants, discussing and guiding the Master Plan Process for the Town of Irondequoit.

"Six focus group meetings were conducted between October 16th and November 5th to facilitate detailed discussions about critical issues that will be addressed in the Comprehensive Master Plan. The topics of the focus groups are listed below. Click on the focus group name to view the meeting summary notes."

News to anyone who has ever lived in Irondequoit - you only have one zip code - according to the people who are guiding the Master Plan for the Town.

S*ittin' On The Dock Of The Bay.......

Or, IN the Bay.

Apparently, a lovely cocktail of raw sewage (human waste) mixed with storm water is discharging into the Irondequoit Bay via Densmore Creek. Supposedly, it only happens when Van Lare is at capacity, and there are heavy, prolonged rains that fill the tunnels that discharge the storm runoff.

According to Marty Piecuch, this is a common occurrence for cities across the state and country, and shows how far behind the infrastructure is in the U.S.

According to me....people who don't pick up after their animals are to blame too. That stuff goes into the storm sewer, and "dumps" right into your "fresh water". Scoopa your poopa! Please!
