Congel Made The 3rd Installment Payment -

- This is becoming a habit! The 3rd payment installment was due March 31st (along with 3% interest), and the last installment is due April 30th.

I can no longer link to the Monroe County Tax Portal's info on Medley directly from this blog. You have to go to the portal and type in the property numbers below, and search them that way. I will put up the first property's screen shots, just to show that he paid, and directions on how to navigate the tax portal:

To look up all of the properties, go to the Monroe County Real Property Portal and click "I agree". Click on "Search non-residential properties" and then click on "Pay/View Taxes". Copy and paste one of the parcel id #'s below into the box where it says to do that, then select your municipality (in this case, Irondequoit) from the drop down menu, and then click the magnifying glass to search, and the info will come up. Sometimes, the site is down for whatever reason, but it is usually back up within the hour.

The first "milestone" of the P.I.L.O.T. agreement has come and gone - and I don't know if he's filed for an extension or not, but as of April 7th, 2011 he was supposed to have "in the aggregate an investment of at least $90,000,000 in the project" - otherwise, he will have to make a "Supplemental Payment" for failure to satisfy the first milestone. But, because of the PILOT (that was supposed to protect us) he has until next year (April of 2012) to make that Supplemental Payment.....and then he has the option to extend all milestone dates by 6 months (twice) or 1 year (once). So - we'll see what happens with that.

I wonder if he has paid Passero and the plow guy anything yet?

He hasn't paid the $500k he owes, he hasn't done any demolition or construction.....and he hasn't secured financing yet - but he gets these tax breaks.   The fact that he is using the "economy" as the excuse for why nothing is being done yet and why he can't secure financing kills me.  The economy crashed in 2008 - this stupid PILOT deal was hammered out and finalized in April 2009......nobody knew the economy was bad in 2009?  Nobody questioned if his $260 million dollar dream could be a reality given the economic crisis going on?  Nobody wondered if he would be able to secure financing, given the recession?

P.I.L.O.T. deals suck.  They suck, they suck, they suck.

Thank you, lawmakers, for giving this guy all the breaks.  He really has done wonders in Irondequoit creating all those jobs and helping the Town's revenue and helping our economy.   'Preciate it.

Thank you for the update Jax!

The PILOT that was "supposed" to protect us this time.

Another fine mess they've gotten us in to. ;)

Someone told me that he may not have to make that milestone payment until 2016.

The PILOT is so confusing, it's hard to say what he owes and when he owes it and when everything really "goes into effect".

What a scam.

2016 how pathetic is that!?

I agree the PILOT is very confusing but you would think that our counsel would have explained everything to the boards involved in the decision making process.

Different board members that I called prior to the vote assured me over and over that we are protected this time. Which we can all see that we aren't.

They rushed the deal and pushed it through.

PILOT's stink and if it sounds to good to be true it usually is!

Any one questioning the deal was looked upon as being negative.

Those damn old negative, pessimists were right again. Go figure!

Congel was probably laughing the whole way home after the boards all voted to approve.

Sad, very sad!
