It's freaking awesome! It has a helpful link to all meeting minutes, but...the best part.....ICAT video (through "vimeo") of all the meetings of the Planning, Zoning, and Town Boards!!!!!
Yippeeeee! I LOVE this. I wish more Towns/Villages would do this....it really is an awesome tool to utilize. Sheesh....Greece's Town website looks like something from way back when Al Gore invented the internet. They don't even have meeting agendas posted on there.....it is lacking any "personality". Really. It's boring, drab, lacking detailed info, and quite frankly, it sucks. Look for yourself. Blah.
Chili has had their town meetings on their website for a while now. Their site is very informative and easy to navigate. Check it out.
Back to Irondequoit.....I was looking at the video for the last TB meeting on June 16th, and when Richard Barone is giving input about the website....the Supervisor says at the 92:16 mark, "I hate the website."
What? That website is one of the better ones in the county, even before the meeting videos were put on there. There's a lot of information on there! I could always see the agendas, the link to the meeting minutes and more....sometimes I had to click a thousand links to get to what I needed to find....but if you search you eventually find it.
How can she hate the website? It's a great informational tool for residents.
