YNN Article on Lawsuit against Medley Owners.
WHEC reports that the plow owner won his judgment today.
Back in November, I read an article in the newspaper about the plowing company being owed over $49k from Congel.
Before that, in May, I read another article on WHEC about grass not getting mowed, and a $440k mechanic's lien filed against them from Passero for the engineering studies and architectural drawings done for the project.
Then, before that, in March, there was the fact that he was late paying his taxes, and I still don't know if he really paid COMIDA - the links to the properties still show him as delinquent.
What a great company!
Reading the Syracuse paper the other day.....another Congel (Robert) was in the news about Destiny mall - same problems there. Link.
It's a shame that no one can step up and do anything about this. We can get 590 issues straightened out, call on the MCAA to be investigated.....but no one can do anything to get Congel to follow the PILOT document HE SIGNED and start demolition? Pay that $500k he owes?
Why was everyone so against NOT SIGNING the PILOT? They said "Well, we can't just let the property sit there unused."
Annnnnnnnd........? What's been going on for the past two years?
Financing schminancing - the guy is a gabillionaire. While Monroe County is the highest property taxed county IN THE NATION - you give tax breaks to developers like this. Please....just stop.
At the very least, one of our wonderful lawmakers should INSIST that there are uniform standards for PILOT deals, and more teeth to holding developers accountable - like - you see no tax breaks until we see development.
I doubt it will happen though - too busy trying to bust up cigar improprieties at the airport.
&#*#@ we are doomed.
MPN reports that Verizon reps will be at tonight's Town Board meeting (at 7pm in Broderick Room at Town Hall) to update information. The Supervisor stressed that there will be NO BOARD ACTION TAKEN on the matter at tonight's meeting - as Verizon did not provide their update to the board until late last week - and with such short notice, there was not enough time for the board to review the updates before the meeting.
There is a lot on the agenda for tonight, so make sure you watch or attend!

"Cigar improprieties at the airport."
Very funny!
Evertime Medley comes up, I remember being promised over and over and over (from the past administration) that something like what is happening, couldn't happen. We were going to be protected this time. What a load...
2045 are we insane!?!?!?!
Congel doesn't even think he has to pay for services rendered much less anything else. I guess he's entitled, just us regular folk have to pay our bills.
Funny that Verizon is presenting tonight - December 21st. I guess they are hoping the community is busy.
Very nice to see that Mary Joyce said that NO decisions were going to be made tonight because Verizon sent in their stuff so late.
What a welcome change. Gone are the days of CRAM it down the resident's throat! :)
