IDC - Lies Again For Political Gain

Link.

“An unfinished Master Plan – It was fully paid for and we are deriving no benefit from it. No real disclosure as to the perceived issue with either what was wrong with it or who is working to have it redone!!”

First - it was supposed to be finished in October 2009 -

.....and it wasn't finished by October 2009.....and guess what else? It wasn't fully paid for. See below invoices for the Comprehensive Master Plan. If you look at page 7 below, you can see that there were many things that were not completed, and a few that were only partially completed.

I did a blog back in June of 2009 listing some of the issues of incorrect information contained in the Master Plan. I would imagine that before the SEQR can be completed, those issues need to be corrected, and doesn't SEQR take a long time to complete....like almost a year? (You can see from the invoices below that SEQRA compliance hasn't been completed or paid for yet.)

As of Period Ending October 9, 2009 - the town has paid $153,371.00 for an unfinished, incomplete Master Plan that contained more than a few errors - and told everyone that the job would get done, and it would be done by October 2009. Fail. Again.

MASTER PLAN INVOICES

This is a Committee website that is disseminating false information to the public.

IDC - STOP LYING TO THE COMMUNITY!

I guess the IDC doesn't mind all of the mis-information and innuendo being spewed. Sad really because the writer of the web-site shouldn't have the responsibility of representing the Democratic party in Irondequoit. He has NO FACTS or links to anything to prove any claims. Isn't anybody over seeing this site?

Just like the D&C blog a bunch of mis-information. At least the D&C had the good sense to let him go. If he wants to write his own blog with his opinion and innuendo who cares but he is writing for the Democrats in Irondequoit. Why would the Democratic party want to be associated with lies? You would think they would want to be more credible.

Maybe the writer really is an undercover Republican and he is trying to tarnish the Democrats. He's a known flip-flopper. He's doing a wonderful job of dragging them down.

Hmmmm, I wonder?

Are you referring to a "Sleeper Spy" (Anna Chapman comes to mind) ... a
"James Bond Impersonator", or the "Nanny Cam" Voyeur type?

Just curious

Note: My delete above - had a *oopsie-daisy* in the spelling department.

Oh my Kate. Very funny!

I'm just trying to make sense of why the Democratic party in our town would allow blatant lies on their web site!?

Most people in town know that we are much better off with Heyman-Bello and Evans gone. There was NO tax increase this year. The budget was cut by $600,000. and the Repubs and Dems on the board all agreed on the budget. :)

Added bonus -residents are once again treated like humans regardless of political affiliation.

But the writer, who is also a planning board member keeps blatantly lying about multiple subjects on the IDC site. Why?

Is he really trying to damage the Democrats by lying? Does he have such a HUGE ego that he thinks nobody is going to call him on the mis-information? Is he a spy?

Maybe there should be an investigation paid for by the taxpayer's.

Oh wait - No- wrong Supervisor! Thank God! :)

As I see it, Cheri - its one of two reasons: a) The IDC put their full faith, hope, and trust into the writers pen (it's possible) and they are not aware, due to lack of follow up. Or b) The IDC is aware, and support the mis-spread of information. For the sake of those within their party that do not support this underhanded conduct, and spread of untruths - I hope it is the later.

Is he really trying to damage the Democrats by lying? Does he have such a HUGE ego that he thinks nobody is going to call him on the mis-information? Is he a spy?

In all honesty, I am not sure what has motivated him to write the ridiculous things he has recently written - and I do find it bizarre because its obviously diminishing the credibility of the IDC.

Maybe there should be an investigation paid for by the taxpayer's.

Ha! Had this gone on when MEH was at the helm - and, this was a Republican in question ... I would have bet the farm on it.

The published Master Plan Time Line was pure fantasy. That time line could only have been planned for political reasons.

Environmental concerns will take several months and is a serious element. The following statement comes from a letter to Town Officials:

"The adoption of any Comprehensive Plan in New York State requires that a municipality comply with SEQRA. In SEQRA, the act of adopting a Comprehensive Plan constitutes a Type I action. This means that the adoption of such a plan may have a significant environmental impact on the community as it takes into account the potential for rezoning or reuse of lands requiring the need for more, or improved, or updated infrastructure to do so, etc.

Town Boards, being Lead Agency, are required to make a determination of significance. This requires the Town Board to say that the Comprehensive Plan, in its opinion, will or will not have a significant effect on the environment and it must make a determination of significance or non-significance. It if decides it will not have an effect, it must make findings of non-significance before it can adopt the plan.

If it finds that it will have a significant affect, it can require the preparation of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement or a Generic Draft Environmental Impact Statement. This means that although the Town Board believes that some impacts could occur to the Town as a whole, it will address the Town rather than on a site specific basis. For instance, if it is proposing to rezone a portion of the Town, it has to address the general impacts that would occur rather than as a result of a specific property or use."

The Plan needs major editing.

In total agreement with that statement. MEH would have run to the school board attorney and had him on retainer already. Good riddance!

So tgolan, SEQRA is part of the problem with the master plan? SEQRA is a lengthy process and anyone on the planning board should be able to easily grasp that concept.

The IDC web site is just a bunch of whining lies. If Ray thinks nobody is going to challenge his claims with the truth, he has another thing coming.
