Hi Scott!

Listen, Scott, after you're done googling yourself, ya think you could get that ghetto onion of yours in gear and work on demolishing that haunted house next to Applebee's?

Maybe you want to wait until after Halloween, and that's ok, I can deal with that.

You have been late on every payment (PILOT and Special District), and the only reason you paid was because the media reported on it.

You have been taken to court for non-payment to people who have serviced your property, and you are basically an absentee landlord.

You have missed the first milestone investment of $90 million dollars, and you owe the town.....at the VERY LEAST.....that $500,000 fee. I know your lawyers are saying that you don't have to pay that.....but you do. There was no language written into the PILOT that said that you owe that money contingent upon construction/demolition. You had a demolition permit, but you let that expire. That's not the Town's fault, and you owe the money. Period.

You're getting 30 years of tax breaks on the property. You're getting Empire Zone tax credits. You got a lower assessment on your property. You got the Town to rezone that property as a Tourism and Resort zone.....and you are not doing anything even resembling a dollar investment in that property, let alone the $260 million investment that you proposed would be a destination.

It is a destination for seagulls and overgrown weeds so far. Not so great. Please make an effort to do better.

Hope you are doing well.

Love and Kisses,

Jax.

OMG this is hilarious! The seagulls really do love the Medley Centre. Great blog Jax!

Dear Scott,
Instead of googling yourself why not get the check book out and start paying your bills! Us taxpayer's that have been taking up the slack would really appreciate it.
No Love and Kisses,
Cheri

I keep thinking about the press conference where Jim LeBeau was head cheerleader for Congel's dream.

You know, LeBeau, who was head of the Monroe County Sports Commission and the Greater Rochester Sports Authority - and a big contributor to Republicans - and official spokesperson for Congel in getting all those tax breaks.

At least the seagulls enjoy it. Too bad the general public couldn't enjoy it still. Every time I drive by I get sad thinking about it. I loved shopping there. So pretty inside.

Ah well - we live and we learn.

I know it was a gorgeous mall. I think the nicest one. I loved the 2 levels and all of the natural light that came in from the skylights. My family shopped there all of the time. So sad...

Oh yes, good old cheerleader Jim LeBeau. Where is he now?

LeBeau is kinda keeping quiet lately. I remember when there were articles about Congel missing his first PILOT payment....LeBeau distanced himself from Congel - and now he seems to not want to be his spokesperson anymore.

Gee, wonder why?

If the Town Board is really serious about addressing failed commitments, they will look to rescind the zoning classification that in my opinion gave away legitimate and proper land use controls over this project.

Hmmmm....Mitch...that is a great idea.

But, like you said, the TB would have to be serious about addressing failed commitments.....and I doubt anyone but Marasco is serious about holding Congel accountable.

I will second that!

Talk is cheap, especially when an election is looming in 2 and a half weeks. Marasco has been talking about this for months. Suddenly the time is now for the resolution.

Elections are funny that way and the timing isn't very reassuring to me that anything substantial is really going to happen. I really hope they prove me wrong!
