Congel Paying On 3/15?

According to 13Wham.com, the owners of Medley...er...LakeRidge Centre are going to pay the $322k they owe in taxes.

Article early this morning that is gone now:

What about the penalties/interest charges? Will he pay those too (like anyone else has to when they are late paying their taxes), or is he only paying the original tax amount?

According to the payment page with the coupons on the bottom, it said the taxes would be due by February 10th to avoid paying any fees. PILOT says his payment was due by the end of January.

Whatever the date is, he should still pay penalties like everyone else has to.

8-) The new supervisor is in charge of collecting what's owed to the Town, isn't she? Call her and remind her.

I think all three entities are in charge of collecting what's owed to them.

As far as the $500k, another article on 13Wham said that MJD has said that the $500k will be paid once demolition starts.

Demolition was supposed to have started 60 days after the entitlement date (April 7th, 2009) - which should have begun in June.

9 months later, and this current Supervisor is on top of things making sure that the SD/County/Town gets what is owed to them.

Too bad the last supervisor didn't do that!

I heard previous leader(s) may be working in a proctology office---- still giving it to taxpayers.

Anonymous @ 3:36 -

lol Well, this linkedin link says that she is currently a medical assistant at RGH....so....it is possible.

Also, in case anyone is curious about Marty Piecuch, I've heard that he has found employment with the City Of Rochester, working for Mayor Duffy, on the Midtown Tower project. Glad to hear he is working, and I wish him the best and good luck in his new job.

CORRECTION:

I had heard that Marty was working for the City, but that is not entirely correct.....

He IS working on the Midtown Project for Duffy - but as a state employee - Marty is employed by Empire State Development Corporation as a construction manager.

So, again, I do wish him good luck in his new endeavor! I just wanted to correct myself on the information.

Thanks!

Sounds like the interest has been paid. A whole 10% goes to the town! Yippee!! 60% to the school district and 30% to the county.
