Special TB Meeting 12-03-09 @ 5 PM....(MEETING LOCATION CHANGED)

......in a courtroom at the Public Safety Building, instead of the Broderick Room at Town Hall, due to a scheduling conflict, according to the D&C article.

Since it's at the PS building, maybe someone can check and see about those heat pumps that were supposed to be installed there when they bonded money for it?

Also, I'm not sure if there is video capabilities in the courtroom at the PS building, so this meeting may not be taped and aired.....but if someone is kind enough to bring a video camera and record the meeting, that would be great! You are allowed to do that, as long as it isn't "disruptive".

(Someone on the D&C article comment section said that they called town hall, and it will be aired on ICAT.....another person just commented that they just spoke with Barbara Genier and she said it will NOT be aired live, but it is being recorded, and you can bring a video camera...but no tripod.)

According to the Committee On Open Government website, "Open Meetings" or "Sunshine" law:

Public Participation and recording meetings
The Open Meetings Law provides the public with the right to attend meetings of public bodies, but it is silent concerning the ability of members of the public to speak or otherwise participate. Although public bodies are not required to permit the public to speak at their meetings, many have chosen to do so. In those instances, it has been advised that a public body should do so by adopting reasonable rules that treat members of the public equally.
There is nothing in the Open Meetings Law dealing with the right of those in attendance to record meetings. However, judicial decisions indicate that any person present may record an open meeting (using either an audio or video recorder), so long as use of a recording device is not disruptive or obtrusive.

.....according to MPNnow, it is to adopt the 2010 budget.
