D&C Our Towns Irondequoit Ad Re: Apprentice Law
This is great. It's in the Irondequoit Our Towns section of today's D&C. This part of the paper was scanned, so the left side is a bit cut off, but it just has a sign saying "Vote" and a dotted arrow pointing to a big blue "NO". Then at the bottom it says: "Call Members Of The Irondequoit Town Board Today!"
Please do - the number is: 1-585-467-8840
In order to insure that ALL contractors in Irondequoit are able to bid on Public Works projects in Irondequoit, the Town Board must vote "No" on 8-18. Businesses such as M.L. Electric Corp will no longer be able to bid on Public Works projects in Irondequoit, even though they've done many projects for the Town.....not through any fault or refusal on Mr. Caccamise's part to have an apprenticeship program in place, but because the State does not offer one for his line of work.
Don't let special interests override the responsibility to look out for ALL residents.....not just the big block that can turn a few more votes in their favor.
Vote NO!
